Dreaming of the islands |
So...after listening to Chris Parker (weather guru for all boaters) this morning, we decided to make the crossing tomorrow. It's supposed to be a nice day to cross. Light & variable winds so....maybe more motoring than sailing but that's ok with me....I prefer a more sedate crossing. As usual, the crossing just kinda sneaks up on ya. All of a sudden we're itching to leave & as soon as the weather allows....it's go time!! So, we pulled anchor in Stuart at 8:30 & cruised down the ICW today...through 7 bridges...
One bridge after another today!! |
and are now anchored at the mouth of the inlet in Lake Worth. Tomorrow at first light we will head out the inlet into the Atlantic & cruise on over to the Bahamas.
I have to make this short as we have many chores to do, meals to cook, & phone calls to make to family so.....it is with sweet sorrow I bid farewell to high speed internet that is ALWAYS available...back to island time...We probably won't have internet until Thursday(maybe Wednesday evening) Love & miss you all. Pray for our safe passage. Enjoy some of the latest pics....

So funny, Wilbur (our pit) watched the dog show with us too! You'll love Green Turtle, we stayed there a few days, and there was a tiny beach on the other side where Wilbur was able to run around. It's a very short walk to get to it. I remember enjoying Conch fritters at their bar every day we were there.
