Calm Before The Storm

Scott & I are preparing for yet, another storm that should hit us at about 2am & last through Friday. We've been enjoying some beach time the past few days in anticipation of being stuck on the boat for a couple days.

Once things calm down...which looks like Sunday, we're leaving our beloved Green Turtle Cay to go explore some islands north of here. I'm excited to see some new places! We only have a couple of weeks left in the Bahamas so we both want to make the most of it. Lobster season ended on March 31st, so now our diving will be for fun & depending on the situation, for fish.

One of 1st stops will be Powell Cay. A little blurry picture but it's supposed to be a beautiful unspoiled island. It's uninhabited & is noted for its great beaches, hiking, and shelling. I'm so excited. I LOVE Green Turtle Cay but it's time for us to move on. As soon as weather permits....we're off to the next adventure.

We've spent the past couple days watching the anchorage fill up in preparation of the up-coming storm.

The boat in the above picture (a rental) circled our boat for over an hour trying to anchor.

Going around again...

Thankfully, they eventually surrendered & went to the marina. We spent hours yesterday just watching the boats anchor, re-anchor, move around. Not a great feeling when Chris Parker (weather guru) has predicted 50 knot wind gusts by Friday. It's always exciting when a storm blows through! We'll be on alert for sure.

In the end, we have to be like Jib & make every thing our favorite thing & not sweat the small stuff! :)

Hope all is well with everybody! Love & miss you!!M

Love--Michelle, Scott & Jib
